Without seeing it, it's hard to say if it is or will be a problem,
but a number of people have written here about having a ferret with a
tooth that pokes the upper lip. I'm one of them!

Beasley has had a snaggletooth all his life as far as I know. He has
a little hole that has formed on the inside of his upper lip where
the tooth rests. He has never appeared to be in any discomfort, nor
has it affected his eating or appeared red or irritated.
