Subject: Re: [Ferret-Health-list] Can anyone tell me how Melatonin
works on adrenal.

If you mean pet store fish antibiotics, personally I
wouldn't use them on my ferrets. While they use many
of the same antibiotics, most of the time they don't
even have an expiration date on the package. I would
also question the quality control versus human/mammal
antibiotics. High quality and precise concentrations
are probably a wasted effort when dumped into an
aquarium of ornamental fish, plants, algae, and
sediment. Most of the packages also state that they
are not for humans or for fish used for human
consumption. They may also be compounded differently
to dissolve better in aquarium water, but I don't know
if that's true or not. I would probably be more
tempted to use human antibiotics for fish than the
reverse.
