Subject: Cytology back on Brutus ear canal

Cytology shows a non malignant "ceruminous, sebaceous adenoma" which
non-the-less must be removed soon, before it grows any larger. It is
deep in the ear, but not on the tympanic membrane. Things I would
like to consider include: SilverNitrate, Chemical cauterization with
phenol or silver nitrate, curettage combined with electrodissection,
laser or infrared contact coagulation. I don't know yet if any of
these modalities are available at local vets in the tiny size needed.
Brutus is on Lupron post adrenal surgeries and prednisone post
insulinoma surgery. The only sign of discomfort from the ear is a
slightly weepy eye on that side that I had been noticing for perhaps 6
months prior to his ear starting to bleed. Bleeding has stopped soon
after Tresaderm ear drops were instituted.
