Don't you mean high potassium? I have talked to people who have had
relatives with renal failure. This happened when I told people that
Champ had renal failure. The response was "my mother, sister, etc.
had that". They all told me that potassium levels would drop so I
don't understand why a person would be put on a low potassium diet.
Champ had to have potassium supplements, both Tumil-K and, when it
wasn't enough, spiking his fluids with potassium chloride.

The most common symptom that people told me about is that, when
potassiums levels dropped too low, the person became very lethargic
and spacey.

Champ was first was put on a low protein diet (Hill's K/D), then the
potassium supplements, then he developed anemia. He got Lixotinic
and Epogen injections for the anemia. I do agree with the high
phosphorous levels. I was told the high phosphorous would be next.
These all resulted from reading his blood levels. He got bloodwork
every few weeks.
