The Revolution itself isn't dangerous, but the info says that it kills
heartworms. If your ferret has even a couple of heartworms it is in
serious danger. The heartworm is so large in relation to a ferrets
circulatory system that killing it can cause the ferret to throw
thrombosis resulting in death. The treatment for heartworm in ferrets is
a long 3 month period of treatment with prednesone and restricting play
and exercise after the worms are killed with caparsolate. Even so, it is
only about 70% effective.

If you give your ferret the CITE test and it says there are no
heartworms, then it is safe to give things like Revolution or ivermectin
for heartworm prevention.
