Subject: Disaster.... FHL operations
All rules for posting on the FHL are and remain in effect, doubly so
at a time like this when maintaining order is so important.
The exception, until furthur notice, are requests for help by those
directly affected. If you have family stranded in a city needing a
place for the night. That sort of thing.
We are recieving offers to help, and prayers, shocked responses. So
far we've not recieved a single request for help or notice of anyone
who's family is stranded. I let one offer to help go through so I could
attach a moderator's note to it.. and because it breaks my heart to
reject such a generous offer. Once there are requests or a need is
established we will do our best to get the information out as
efficiently as possible. My fear being that a cry for help would be
lost somewhere in all the off topic discussion. For now, with the
exception of those needing help for stranded friends, family or
ferrets, we are business as usual... please limit your posts to
ferrets and ferret health.
