I don't know what test your vet is talking about. Possibly insulin
levels. With regular blood glucose readings below 70 mg/dl,
insulinoma is a pretty sure bet and I don't believe any other test is
necessary.

I high meat-based protein diet is essential for ferrets with low
blood glucose. Chicken baby food is pretty high in protein, so
that's good for him.
