Subject: Distemper immunisation
Hello Andrea,
Here in Australia we don't have a specific distemper vaccine
for ferrets either. Our vet uses C3 (canine vaccine against 3
diseases in dogs) and each ferret has half a dog's dose. We
have never had an adverse reaction in our ferrets in the nine
years and hundreds of ferrets using this vaccine, nor has an
immunised ferret ever contracted distemper. The only thing
is, that the vaccine must be kept frozen right up to the day
of administration.
