I'm replying to myself here; Amelia's BG has stabilized with
increased pred and proglycem, but only in the upper 50s, and even
that only with a dextrose IV. The ultrasound was pretty
inconclusive; there are some nodules either on her spleen or
intestines, but Amelia has very dense fat in her belly which obscures
the view. As far as they can tell, pancreas is pretty much normal
shape, but I don't think that's either good or bad.

We are going to raise her pred and proglycem to their maximum dosage
for her weight and see if she can stabilize on her own. She is
eating on her own, but only kibble, which can't be good for the ulcer
(though the Pepcid has definitely made her feel better). If anybody
has any insightful suggestions for this stage of insulinoma, I'd
appreciate hearing them.

I'm really afraid tommorrow is going to be a very bad day. I've been
visiting her every day, and she has seemed increasingly alert, but
that's only because of the IV, and she can't stay in the CCU
forever. I don't suppose there's any chance that she could just pass
quietly at home, is there, with insulinoma.
