Subject: [Ferret-Health-list] Re: ferret with cold

Ferrets are suseptible to human influenza and persons who have influenza
should not handle them. Signs are nasal and eye discharge, coughing,and
sneezing. Ferrets can usually get over this in 5-10 days.Some are put on
antibiotics,antihistamine and decongestants.I've found that letting Mother
Nature take its course has worked the best for me along with TLC, good
food,water and warmth.
