Subject: Re: Scooter update: lymphocytosis vs. leukocytosis

Well, I didn't know, so you got me looking stuff up so that we
boht can learn (and maybe some others, too). Folks who know
more, if I mess this up , please, correct me.

A leukocyte is a white blood cell category capable of ameboid
motion with members which protect the body fro
microorganisms in several ways.

Leukocytosis is an increase in leukocytes.

A lymphocyte is a form of leukocyte which participates in
immunity functions.

Lymphocytosis is the increase of lymphocytes n the blood or in
an infusion.

I'd really like to learn more about this myself from those who
know more, esp. since Scooter has lymphocytosis as a
pathology reading for his liver. Have a lot to learn in relation to
this and to his enlarged and thickened stomach which only
showed as moderate mural gastritis in pathology.
