Subject: RE: [Ferret-Health-list] I have a ferret that is

[Tansy] I would be interested in the cause of the excess licking also...I
have a new rescue who is trying to remove the skin from the back of my
knees...<g>

Hey Kimmie... what you are describing now is different than when I talked
to you earlier.
Remember when I asked if he had been doing anything strange like pawing or
different with his mouth?
The licking and now not wanting to eat or drink regular is a signifigant
change from when we talked. It also now tells me what might be wrong.
Yes you will need to make that vet appointment.... and gimme either a call
or email me privately so I can tell you what those symptoms mean ok?
Susan

licking all the time....

Hi
I have 3 ferrets...

and one isn't feeling well...Not acting like a playful ferret... just
walks around then takes a spot and lays there....

He is licking all the time...like when they eat Fettervite.. they lick
till it is gone.... well He is still doing it....
Last time I saw him eat and drink..was late last night.. and He is
still using the litter pan...
He has a wonderful coat but is a little thin... Should I be worried?

Do I need to make a vet appointment? They all do need this years
shots.. Due in March..... But I haven't made that appointment YET!
thanks for the help
KIM
