Subject: Dr. Williams has returned

Well, it's late, and we are on the bit on the exhausted side, but
it's good to be back on American soil.

After giving a course in Nantes and a lecture series in Berlin, we
were unavoidably delayed by the events surrounding the tragedy in
Washington and NYC. The cancellation of two flights and an
unexpected eight day layover in France, culminating on standby
passage on one of the few remaining Paris-Washington flights (always
a trick when traveling with a two-year-old), however, is nothing
compared to the terrible price that so many families have paid. We
count our blessings hourly.

I return to a DOD medical facility on alert, with many military
members already deployed. There is much work to do, so it may be
several more days before I can return in any fashion to the FHL.

I thank the many members of the FHL who have performed in such an
outstanding fashion over the last month, and I hope to rejoin you
shortly.

With kindest regards,

Bruce Williams, DVM
