I have a five year old adrenal female with a serious problem.History:
She's had her left adrenal removed, had surgery for adrenal problems a
second time and the right gland looked normal, but the liver was a bit
fatty. They did a biopsy and it came back negative for cancer. She
hadn't been eating well, because of the two hairballs taken out of
her stomach. She then started to gain weight as expected, but about two
months later started losing weight again. She's gotten a Lupron
shot, and it seems to be working. Here's her problem now.She continues
not to want to eat, grinds her teeth and there are gurgling sounds
coming from her tummy. An x-ray was taken and nothing strange was seen
in her organs. She does have a slipped disk, which explains her curled
back toes and stumbling gait in the rear.Blood work has liver values
up and calcium down. She is taking
reglan and pepcid ac with her duck soup, the ferret store food, baby
food, and nutrical. Is there any hope with the liver problems or is she
fighting a losing battle? She's had to fight various problems for so
long, and I'd like to give her more than a couple of months of
dancing. She came to us starved and naked, and looks as if she may
leave the same way.
