Subject: Baby ferrets - double sets of bottom teeth?
Our shelter just took in a pair of 7-8 week old
ferrets. I think they are our first "casualty", so to
speak, from the horrible events on September 11.
Not having dealt much with babies in a long time, my
question is this. Both of them appear to have
duplicate sets of bottom teeth, including the canines.
Is one set the permanent one and the other the baby
teeth, or is this something I should be worried about?
Any advice is welcome - they're very cute little
fuzzballs and I want to make sure that they're
healthy.
