Subject: [Ferret-Health-list] Anemia

My ferret Oliver was anemic, along with several other
problems. We gave him shots of epogen, worked very well. Ask
your vet about it. Good Luck, Dee and the 7 carpet sharks!

Can anyone tell me if there is anything that can be done for
a ferret who is anemic? Also, this ferret, Oscar has
insulinoma. The vet said to supplement his food 2-3x a day
with chicken baby food. He still eats his kibble. Marshalls.
So, how much baby food should I give him at each feeding? I
want to be sure that I don't give him so much that he stops
eating his kibble. It has all the nutritional value he
needs.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Tiffany
