Well, I'm one of the ones who suggested Pet Tinic, so let's see... You
are right that it is best to avoid sugar with insulinoma. But it's really
a rather small amount in the doses in question, I think... Now, I've used
Ferret Drops, which are a bit different than Pet Tinic but do also have
some sugar, and it's somewhere around 0.5 cc - 1 cc of the supplement per
dose, which isn't much, although that doesn't really speak to the actual
amount of sugar. Also, mixing it into some chicken baby food may help
make the sugar less significant. I haven't had problems with giving it
this way to the insulinoma ferrets I've had, but they were also on pred at
the time. If your ferret is being controlled by diet alone at this time,
you may need to be more cautious.
