This issue keeps popping up, but always with anecdotal stories. Here's
another, personal experience. As is the case with all ferret lovers, I
searched constantly for the "magic potion" that would give my little one a
little more quality life. I tried Devil's Club on my Chuki about a year
ago. He was 7 then and also had concurrent diseases that ruled out surgery.
The first morning dose of Devil's Club resulted in the most frightening day
ever, in that he became lethargic to the point that I feared an insulinoma
seizure. I spent the day giving him hi-protein Gerbers baby food as often as
he would take it and had the Karo syrup ready. The following day, he was his
normal self and the Devil's Club went in the trash can. There is no control
over the manufacturing of herbal medicine and you have no idea what you are
putting in your ferret, nor do the people that make it.
