Subject: Adrenal disease or skin problems

Simon's fur is really thinning around his neck area and into
his back. But he must be itchy for he is scratching a
lot--yes, ferrets seem to be itchy fellows, but this is more
than usual. My question: is thinning fur always attributed to
adrenal disease?
