Subject: Re: [Ferret-Health-list] Adrenal disease or skin problems

I have been told that pruritis (severe itching) is a
sign of adrenal problems.

Mind you -- when one of my old boys started losing
hair at the base of his tail, I whisked him off to our
(ferret knowledgeable) vet and he said it wasn't
adrenal but "senile hormonal imbalance"! No one else
I've spoken to has ever heard of that before.
