Subject: Cleo's Adrenal Cancer

Well, this morning Cleo went in for surgery. The gland affected was the harder of the two to remove. I know that this is a standard procedure, but upon opening her up they found that her tumor was extremely large. After removing half of the tumor Cleo began to hemoridge. They were able to stop the bleeding but her heart couldn't withstand the stress of the surgery. We lost Cleo. I do not know where to turn next. I feel that maybe if I had not gone through with the surgery she might have been okay. I am worried about what is going to happen to her brother Alex when Cleo doesn't come home. Right now I am just questioning everything I did. Was there something else I could have done to help her ...and is there something I can do for Alex? Thank you so much for all of the advice I received regarding Cleo prior to surgery. She was my very first fuzzy friend when I moved out on my own...she will be missed immensely.
