Subject: Urinalysis results on Teddy
Hi again,
I just wanted some vet opinions on the last Urinalyis that I have on
Teddy. It was from 3 years ago (coincidentally to the exact day that
he was euthanized)<sigh>. A local vet told me Teddy was in renal
failure 3 years ago. My ferret "specialist" vet told me that he
wasn't because he was still able to concentrate his urine. Here are
the results. What do you think?
spG: 1.023
Protein: +30
Glucose: neg
Ketones: neg
Bili: ++
Blood: +++
Urob: 0.2
RBC: neg
WBC: neg
pH:6.5
I thought protein in the urine was a sign that the kidneys weren't
functioning properly. Was I given bad advice? Had his kidneys been
deteriorating for the last three years? Did the Enacard make things
worse?
