I think we've had this discussion before. Neosporin is not dangerous,
considering the very tiny amount used on an injury. You would just
put a very light film over an injury. I've used it many times on
animals with no ill effects.

If I were treating an animal for poison, I would be willing to risk
them getting pneumonia, considering death might be the alternative.
In my particular case, it would take me 15-20 minutes to get to an
emergency vet. In some cases, people have no emergency (after hours)
vets available at all. Poison would probably be much more deadly than
pneumonia.

Just my opinion.
