Boy, is that familiar. Fortunately, Fritter was easy. A few years
later, thought, we had to do it for Hjalmar who had incredibly
tough skin and who was one of my favorite two critters ever. With
Steve and i working together we could do him but the first time
with him I got up afterward, felt a bit sick to my stomach, walked
toward the bathroom and fainted. I never faint! In all my life I've
done it only a handful of times and this was the only time due to
emotional upset. So, you are not alone. Fortunately, very few
have skin like Hjalmie's was. The upshot here is that there are
some individuals I can sub-cu easily but there are others who I'd
rather have the vets do!
