Subject: Re: [Ferret-Health-list] adrenal again?

Hi Rose:
I just got through reading your note and I also had a ferret
that became aggresive but showed no other symptoms. He didn't
have hair loss and just became aggresive to all my other
ferrets. There was one female he picked on in particular but
he picked on everybody. We did a blood test that detected an
adrenal tumor. If you are going to your vet please suggest
this test. If it is another tumor they can do surgery again.
Please keep us posted.

My ferret, Rommel, has already had one adrenal gland when he
was barely a year old. He came through it fine, grew his
hair back, gained weight, etc. Well, he's 4 years old now
and is once again losing his hair ( his whole belly and neck
are bald), he is very sexually aggressive towards our other
ferret (also male and both are fixed), and basically doesn't
play anymore, just sleeps. I'm taking him back to the vet
for the second time this month but wondered if anyone had
any suggestions on what this could be. I'm very worried.
My husband is away for 6 months on military deployment and
I'm having a difficult time dealing with this myself. I'm
very worried he is going to die. Please help, Sara
