Subject: Dealing with cardio and adrenal
Hi all --
I've posted before about my 7 1/2 y.o. ferret Max. He's now
not eating even the Meow Mix, just the duck soup. While we
were on vacation and Max was visiting some friends, he was
eating Iams kitten and Pro Plan out of the cats' dish, and
even though I asked for (and received) some of the food to get
me through for him until I could get it myself, he promptly
decided upon arriving home not to eat it. Sigh.
His chordoma is still the same size, and he's losing a bit of
hair at the tail base (adrenal), but the insulinoma was my
biggest concern and after 6 weeks on pred his BG was 99 this
weekend! So I'm happy.
On the other hand, my 5 1/2 y.o. Hannah, with the beginning of
cardio, has been on enalapril for 6 weeks and her murmur is
still only 2/6. Additionally, her irregular heartbeat has
regulated itself, so I couldn't be happier! No more vet trips
(cross your fingers) until January!!
Hug your fuzzies and take care!
