Thanks, Mike. That's what I was thinking. If I
don't see improvement soon, I'll take him down to
Dr. K in Gainesville. Would this be a case of
starting Lupron??? I'm waiting for his coat to
come back in to get some professional photos of
the four newest additions.

<Being in Florida really shouldn't have much
bearing on it. Their
signal to grow a new coat is photoperiod based,
not temperature. <

I know we have much longer days in the south.
Even though mine are indoors, light/dark still
pentrates the house. I wonder if it does make a
difference.

On another note, since we don't experience
extremely cold winters here, wouldn't that have a
bearing on the thickness of their winter coat? I
know wildife in the north have much thicker coats
in the winter than their southern counterparts.
Would it be the same with our pets? My theory is
that mine don't grow much of a winter coat so they
don't experience the dramatic coat changes seen
elsewhere. Of course, this is all fiction made up
entirely in my own head <g>. I really have no
idea but would be interested in learning. Not too
technical though!
