I believe Cedes is probably about 7-8 y.o. (based on conversations
with his second owner; I'm his third) but has been in good health in
the nearly 2 years he's been with us. I wasn't at all hesitant about
his having surgery in July. I would be hesistant about subjecting
him to another surgery so soon, though he did recover quickly from
the last. Prior to living with us, he had never even been to a vet.

Is this one of those cases where the UT panel might be beneficial?
Lisa suggested another surgery to look for/remove ectopic tissue or
floaters. I would be hesitant to do a second surgery without knowing
for sure that it needed to be done. Would it make sense to just
start him on Lupron? Would melatonin be a good idea?

If he gets Lupron injections or melatonin, do they take care of
ectopic tissues/floaters which might lead to hormone replacement
therapy down the road? Or do they just inhibit further growth?

Gosh, I'm full of questions. Goes to show that I probably haven't
done all of my homework, I guess.
