I would have to agree with what Lisa said about not
increasing the dose, but maybe increasing the frequency. I
have a 7 1/2 yo ferret who recently was diagnosed with
Insulinoma. We put her on a small dose then increased to
pretty high dose of Pred to begin with, but she still had
spaced out episodes. It turned out that we timed when they
happened and they were occurring right before her dosage
schedule. We then went back down to smaller dose, but gave it
3x a day and she is no longer having those episodes. She is
finally stabilizing on the pred. So, you may want to time his
episodes just to see if they are happening near the time he is
supposed to get his next dose and discuss the findings with
your vet because they will know the best logical route to
take.
