Do be careful. Lysodren is not used much anymore because for
some it doesn't work and others risk Addisons crises. Having
been through Addisons crises before there were safer options
like surgery , or Lupron and the others, i can tell you that those
crises resulted in frantic rides to the vet while trying to keep an
unconscious ferret alive. For then it was good because it was all
that we had but that was quite a while ago.
I see what your vet is trying to do -- to kill any remaining tissue.
Just be ready for an emergency and have things like Florinef and
Pred around, because this could get very tricky.
