The castration of male ferrets is far less traumatic, safer
and quicker on ferrets in rut. The op. only takes a few
minutes and requires no sutures. It is a longer op. that
requires sutures if done when the testes are retracted. I only
have my hobs done in the summer and 24 hours later they romp
around as if nothing has happened.
