After complete bilateral adrenalectomies the hormones
produced by the adrenals must be replaced artificially or the
ferret will die (Note "complete"). One of the medication combos
used is Florinef plus Prednisone. (She likes her Florinef, but the
Pred... ) Florinef helps her balance her electrolytes and the Pred
helps her balance her fluids.
