You said you bought 3 new ferrets, all from the same person?
Adding three at once could get expensive, start saving money
now for future medical bills if you say money is tight.
I don't understand the sentence "when I went to buy my little
guys one, Chance was sick...."
But, I will assume Chance is the only one ill, and he is one of the
new three you took in, so here are the possibilities
Chance was sick before you got him,and has some problem
before-could be a lot of things, if the lady has information
on this, previous vet check and weight, etc this can help.
Chance is stressed by the move and needs a day or two to
adjust, or if Chance is your ferret the new three stressed him.
or
Chance has ECE and got it from the three new ones,
if he is not one of the new ones, or if he is new, and
your ferrets get diarrhea in the next few days you need
to consider ECE,
do some reading on that now so you will be prepared-
Also parasites, and other stool infections would cause
others to get diarrhea, so if it happens a stool exam is a must.
Watch closely how he is eating and using the bathroom, if he
becomes weak, dehydrated or loses weight he needs to go
to the vet. If he doesn't get better in a day or two he should
probably go to the vet, and if the others get sick, or he isn't better
soon at least bring the stool in for a check, if not the ferret.
