I think that it would be helpful to know the level of the anemia.
Chronic disease of any type, including adrenal disease, may cause low-
grade anemia, which is most often non-regenerative. Slightly
elevated lymphocytes values are commonly seen in middle-aged to older
ferrets chronically infected with Helicobacter, or with a history of
ECE infection. These two common inflammatory disorders may also
cause mild anemia of chronic disease.
