I know you mention another ferret isn't possible at this time, but if
there is any way, I'd try to get another buddy. When our first
ferret died suddenly, Chumley went into a depression - he wouldn't
eat, barely drank water, and wouldn't play, just slept constantly.
After a few worrisome days, we adopted a new buddy (Tennessee). He
perked up right away, and they've been inseperable since.
If you can't get another one, just give Felix lots of love, hugs, and
attention. It's so hard with pets, because you know they feel the
loss, but you can't explain what happened.
