Just got back from the vet. Muggles (approx 14 months) is severly
anemic. In fact, he is bad enough that the vet will be doing a
transfusion tomorrow AM. Thank goodness we have some eligible donors
for the procedure.

I will try to relay the blood test results for any ideas on what we
are working against.
HCT = 7.5%
HGB = 2.8 g/dl
MCHC = 37.3 g/dl
WBC = 14.0 x10(ninth)/L
GRANS = 11.0 x10(ninth)/L
%Grans = 79%
L/M = 3.0 x10(ninth)/L
%L/M = 21%
PLT = 324 x10(ninth)/L
Retics ~ 0.3%

His platelet count is mid-range (I think she said they were 375).
Feces shows no sign if infections (no coccidia or giardia).
He has lost 1/2 lb since his visit last spring.

If anyone would care to bounce some ideas of the cause for this
anemia, please feel free. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Lynn Toole
