Subject: Another Adrenal delema
Hi, it has been awhile since I've posted, but I am back with
another adrenal question. Our 5yr old female Molly had hair loss on
a small part of her head, a small portion of her tummy and a little
on her feet? It grew back, but now her vulva is swollen! Obviously
I suppose we are in for another costly surgery. Our six year old
has had two separate surgeries for adrenal tumors and needed DOCP
for a few years. Now she is fine? Our 3yr old had one adrenal
removed and obviously should have had the other removed because
shortly after the surgery her vulva swelled and never went down.
She has had two of the 4 month depot shorts. Now the question:
Should I automatically have both removed? And then what do I do?
My bilateral girl nearly died and would have If I had not consulted
with Dr. Weiss via telephone who came to the rescue with DOCP. It
was a monthly shot of $15 for I think about two years? Now I am
looking at two ferrets who need surgery; one will have no adrenals
and I am not sure about the other? The surgery is $400, the
Lupron is $200 for 4 months. I really do not know what to do? It is
getting difficult to afford all of this< but I adore my four babies!
