I agree completely. I took Rommel to the vet last week and
he was diagnosed with adrenal in his right and only remaining
adrenal gland. The vet gave me two options, surgery and
medication. I'd rather go with the surgery than take a risk
with medication that may not work and it would too late.

He goes in for surgery Friday morning so wish us luck... he's
going to have to be on meds for the rest of his life anyway so
hopefully he will be back to normal again really soon!

Your vet may feel that surgery is the best option, and it
definitely
is, and so didn't get into the medication possibilities.
None of the
medications cure the problem, they just supress the
symptoms.

It's also possible he's not aware of Lupron or Melatonin
usage to
treat the symptoms. It certainly wouldn't hurt to discuss
this with
him.
