Subject: Fostering and potty behavior

We have recently become a foster home. Our first foster ferret was
with us for 2 months and just got adopted about 2 weeks ago. We
brought home a new guy and he was hitting the potty box about as
often as the first guy (80%) and then all of a sudden, our two guys
and the new foster just started to go wherever they pleased. One of
their favorite places is right outside of the box. We have about 5
boxes thoughout the house. We haven't changed anything besides the
new ferret. Can they be reacting to their first friend being gone?
They like the new guy just fine and are already snoozing with him
during naps. Any hints would be appriciated. I don't want to stop
fostering, but if it is going to be hard on our guys to loose their
friends, we will.
Thanks,
