Subject: Re Melatonin Dosage

Mike,

The label on the front of the liquid Melatonin bottle says it contains
2 fluid ounces equaling sixty 1 cc doses (for two-leggeds, of course).
In the directions, it says that one dropper (1.0 cc) contains 1.0 mg
melatonin. On the actual dropper, it has a line that says 1.0 ml.
And to confuse me even more (not hard to do when it has anything to do
with distance or measurements), I will be using a syringe that
measures in cc's.

I am assuming that when people say they have been giving 1 mg, that
would be tablet form? (No way Cleo's going to go for anything solid;
she has only eaten soup since I rescued her 2 years ago.) So, if 1.0
cc really equals 1.0 mg of melatonin (as the bottle says), then I
would be using the same dosage as it prescribes for us; seems like an
awful lot.

Thanks,

Donna
