Subject: first deaf weezil?
i am beginning to think that arianwyn spitfire, our newest addition (i
swore i wouldn't buy any more petstore babies, EVER, but my boyfriend
chris bonded with her so instantly that i couldn't say no. i'd never
seen a ferret take to him as immediately as she did) may be the first
of our crew to be deaf. i'm not certain yet, as she's still a young'un,
and it can be difficult to get their attention anyway. but she doesn't
seem to respond to the squeaky toy at all, or to snapping of fingers
behind her.
does anyone have any good at-home tests of ferret hearing?
for the statistics, she's a DEW with a light silver streak down her
back, running from between her shoulder blades to the tip of her tail.
