Subject: Not just splenomegaly :(
I heard back from Newton's exam tonight. Her spleen is large,
but the vet thinks it's secondary to the other two problems he
found. 1) glucose was 3.6. Looks like insulinoma. He put her
on pred 2x/day. 2) rads showed her trachea was pushed
dorsally. She has an enlarged heart. He said that her heart
was fast (seemed normal yesterday) and arrhythmatic and there
was fluid in her lungs. He prescribed heart meds as well, I
didn't get the name.
She's going to get the meds til thursday and then go back in.
If she has regained strength my husband and the vet are going
to talk about the prospects of surgery to take out the islet
cell tumours.
I don't need this in the middle of midterms!
