Subject: [Ferret-Health-list] new ferret drinking A LOT

Congratulations on your new baby!
It may be worth having a urinalysis done just to be on the
safe side. When I got my baby ferret about 5 months ago, he
was 12 weeks, I noticed that he was drinking way above what I
thought was normal. I brought him into be checked and it
turned out that he had a bladder infection, among other
things. I believe that it is always best to be safe than
sorry.
Take care,
Steph

Hello all...
Our new ferret, about 8 weeks old, seems to be drinking a
lot more
than our others. She also eats quite frequently. I know
that
exessive thirst can be a problem, but I don't know what it
can mean.
She is very active, does sleep a lot, and goes potty fine.
Her
stools are very light in color, and very big for such a tiny
girl.
Anything to be concerned about?
