That could be from an adrenal growth. Those can cause skin
problems and skin thinness as they advance. Personally, if we
had one who looked like this we'd likely ask the vet to go in and
check those adrenals. He looks like Hjalmar looked back there
with his adrenal growth.

It's good that the vet did a skin scraping because sometimes
tehre can be skin problems alone or in conjunction with adrenal
growths.

We often see a lot of itchiness with adrenal growths.

If yo uare uncomfy with the idea of exploratory surgery then
perhaps you should discuss running the Tennessee panel on
the ferret.

With a male ferret be very alert to the possibility that if there is an
adrenal growth that he might begin having trouble urinating due
to secondary swelling of the prostate and that sometimes this
can happen suddenly and drastically, requiring emergency care.
