Like Katherine we have seen very widely different responses to
lymphosarcoma in our four ferrets who had it. One had JL, and
the others had more the standard. We are not among the lucky
few who have had a ferret saved by chemo (though we did try the
Jeglum protocol for one), but we have had ones with more
standard lympho who lived 6, 8, and 14 months due to
Prednisone treatment. Definitely recommend Prednisone.
The most recent girl had it in her spinal cord and opiates really
helped in addition to Prednisone at high levels to make her
comfortable and give her added months of joy. Ask your vet
about pain meds whenthose are needed for quality of life.
She had trouble walking and if that happens you can find info on
slings and on wheelchaiars in the back posts by using the
search feature, so those may help you, too.
