Just a little input from my house...lymphoma seems to be the illness
of choice at our house of fuzzies. Our first encounter with it was a
4 1/2 year old named Abby. We put Abby on Pred daily and she did
well for 2 years at which time all of her lymph nodes became HUGE.
Another was diagnosed this summer (via biopsy)and has been doing well
on daily Pred. Another recently rescued 6 year old girl that was
totally bald when I got her went in for adrenal surgery. We found
tumors on her pancreas ( insulinoma) and sent in the adrenals and a
lymph node for biopsy. She had one malignant adrenal tumor and they
also found lymphoma in the adrenals and lymph node. She has been on
Pred twice daily for the last 2.5 months. I didn't want to go the
chemo route, so for me and my fuzzies, the Pred has been a positive
experience. Not too stressful and whatever time I get with them, I
consider a bonus. Their quality of life appears good. Thanks for
listening. I recently joined the list and I appreciate everyone's
idea sharing.
