Subject: Re: [Ferret-Health-list] Fleas

I have found that ADVANTAGE for dogs is best. My `10 all had
fleas. This is the stuff everyone uses. You put a drop on the back
of their necks once a month. Does the job like you would not
believe!
Gotta go to the vet for the meds though.

I recently found just one flea on one of my ferrets. (I have four
all together.) Then yesterday I found just one flea on another
ferret. So, needless to say I was a little upset and decided it
was time to give all four of them a bath, separately, scrub them
good with their shampoo and wash there beds and the cloths that
are in the drawer that they sleep in too. I was just wondering if
there is a safe flea killer to use on ferrets? and if so, how did
your ferrets take to it? where should I put it on their fur? For
someone who responds...did your ferrets react to the flea killer
in anyway? ( Sorry to ask so many questions I just worry about
them because I know that fleas can be deadly to ferrets.) Thank
you:)
