Subject: Re: Colloidal silver usage
I just wanted to add in my two cents worth on this topic... I've read
the FDA's ruling on the product as I have also seen pictures of humans
who used colloidal silver, as well as the back and forth arguments for
and against its use in ferrets. I guess what this all comes down to for
me is that when I have a ferret that has poor prognosis and is going to
die anyway, what is the true harm in trying homeopathic routes in the
meantime? As long as I am aware of the present dosages used in ferrets
in the past, I am responsible to regulate the amount I do give the few
ferrets that are counting down their time on earth quickly.
I'm not convinced of using colloidal silver in healthy ferrets but I am
a big advocate in taking proper care of ferrets from the get go. Because
of the condition some of the fosters come to me, with their outcome at
times bleak, I feel I owe it to them to try to make life better for
them, and since I have introduced these sick ferrets to colloidal
silver, there has been improvement overall. I have also started using
Timmy's Tonic and there is a significant difference in these ferrets as
well. Regardless of what is actually helping these sick ferrets get
better, the bottom line is that they are, if only for a short period of
time... and I'll take what I can get. If given a choice whether to sit
back and wait for the inevitable to happen, or to try and beat the odds,
I'll always try beating the odds, even if the effort is seen as
futile...
I've been witness to too many ferrets dying with me feeling helpless...
some could look upon these efforts as merely self serving. But I see it
more as a way of trying instead of just giving up.
These ferrets deserve a chance to have a better life... I want to help
them get there...
