Subject: Changing Food

Hi! My name is Pam and my daughter Heather has had her
fuzzy, Heidi, about 10 months. We've weathered the
dreaded ECE (that's what the vet thought it was, and
it was scary. We thought we'd lose our little friend)
and solved the people-toe-biting and pooping outside
the litterpan. Thanks to the archives I now know how
much Advantage to put on a fuzzy (does it matter that
as a 4 yr old jill, she weighs in at 1 1/2 lb? she is
rather small and we don't wasnt to overdose the
Advantage).
My Main question: Heidi will only eat dry cat food
and sweets. We limit the sweets to 2 tiny treats a
week, give plenty of ferret-vites, laxatone and
furo-tone. Should we wean her to a ferret food? How
would we do that? Which one is the best? She turns her
nose up at everything besides Friskies cat food. Also,
will feeding meat to a fuzzy make them mean or make
them bite? I heard that rats, gerbils and hamsters get
mean when fed meat in their diet and wondered if
fuzzies do too?
Sorry to be so long, but we really are new to this.
Thanks for any help anyone can give.

Dooks and fuzzy hugs
Pam and Heather(and Heidi)
