Subject: Percortin/DOCP questions
Hello,
Are there other tests besides the electolyte test (for sodium and
potassium ratio) that my vet should be looking at to determine if the
doseages of Percortin are correct?
How often would this need done? And also, how would we be able to
determine if my ferrets need pred in addition to the Percortin (DOCP)?
Additionally, does anyone know how I can get a vial of the Percortin
at a price closer to cost? My vet's office is upcharging the vial to
$175 for a 4ML vial of the medication. My vet believes the actual
cost from the distributor to be around $60-$80 and she will write me
a script if I can find it elsewhere. I was able to find something at
petmed.com for $119.50, but that's the only place online that sells
it with a script but am still looking for advice.
Thanks for any answers.
Lisa
